Account Plans, quotas and billing
Find and change your subscription (there is no Plans menu entry): what the plan limits — markets/catalogs, products and feeds — where to see your usage, subscribing, upgrading and downgrading with prorations, invoices and payment method in the Stripe portal, why feeds need a subscription, and what stops working if the plan lapses.
Questa guida non è ancora tradotta; la mostriamo in inglese.
There is no Plans page in the side menu, which is why this is hard to find: everything about your subscription lives in the small plan panel at the bottom of the side menu.
- Not subscribed yet? The panel shows Unlock all features. That's how you see the plans and subscribe.
- Already subscribed? The panel shows Your plan with your usage, and an Update button to change it.
Both need the Account permission. If you don't have it, ask your project's owner.
What your plan limits
Three things, and only three:
| Limit | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Markets | How many catalogs you can have. The plans screen calls these markets; everywhere else in the app the same number is labelled catalogs. Same thing. |
| Products | How many products across all your catalogs. |
| Feeds | How many feeds you can have. |
Everything else is unlimited and free: team members, catalog sets, rules, templates, brands, fonts and the background remover. If it isn't in that table, it isn't metered — with one exception: generating rules and sets from a prompt with AI has a daily allowance, smaller (and also capped per month) without a subscription.
Variants can count as one product. If your catalog has a Group ID field set up, products sharing a group id count once, not once per variant. A shoe in five sizes is one product, not five. See the fields mapping guide.
Where to see what you're using
Two places, both live:
- The plan panel at the bottom of the side menu — a bar for each of the three limits, once you're subscribed.
- The dashboard — a card per limit with the number and a bar, and an Upgrade link once you've used more than 70%.
Subscribing for the first time
- Click Unlock all features in the side menu.
- Choose your currency, and Monthly or Yearly (yearly is discounted).
- Pick a plan. Each one shows how many products and markets it includes.
- Add extra markets if you need more than the plan includes.
- Click Subscribe.
- Fill in your Billing details — Company name, Company billing country, VAT number (only for companies in the EU) and Billing email — and click Continue to payment. You'll be taken to Stripe to pay.
Got a discount code? Enter it on the Stripe payment page, not on the plans screen.
Your plan is activated when Stripe confirms the payment, which takes a moment — if the limits haven't moved the instant you land back, give it a few seconds and reload.
Need more than the largest plan? The plans screen has an Enterprise column with a Request enterprise access button that books a call.
Changing your plan
- Click Update in the plan panel.
- Pick the new plan and adjust your extra markets, then Continue.
- You'll see exactly what changes: Amount due today, what you'll pay from now on, tax, and any prorated credit or charge for the part of the period you've already paid for.
- Add a discount code if you have one, check your payment method, accept the privacy policy and terms, and Confirm and pay.
You can move down as well as up. Downgrading is charged — or credited — immediately, prorated; a credit stays on your account balance (Account balance credit) and pays towards your next invoices.
Downgrading below what you're using isn't blocked. Nothing is deleted, but you'll be over your new limits until you remove the excess: you won't be able to add or re-enable catalogs or feeds until you're back under them, and each catalog's next import only brings in the products that fit.
Plan arranged with our team? The plan panel shows Your plan without an Update button, and reaching a limit or trying to upgrade tells you Your plan is managed by our team — contact us to change it.
Invoices, payment method and cancelling
All three live in Stripe's billing portal. Open it with Billing, in the side menu or under your profile menu. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for; until then everything keeps working.
Billing only appears once you have a subscription. If you've never subscribed there's nothing to bill, and no portal to open.
Feeds need a subscription
This is the one hard gate in the product. Without a subscription a project gets one catalog, with no product limit, and no feeds: you can import products, build sets and design templates on a free account — but creating a feed, or a second catalog, requires an active subscription. You'll see Subscription required, offering to show you the plans.
When you hit a limit
Buttons that would go over your limit turn into a lock icon instead of disappearing. Clicking one tells you which limit you hit and offers to upgrade.
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Subscription required | Creating a feed, or a second catalog, with no active subscription. |
| You reached the limit of feeds for your plan. | Your plan's feed count is full. |
| You reached the limit of catalogs for your plan. | Your plan's market count is full. |
| You reached the limit of products for your plan. | Your product count is full, across all catalogs. |
| … products exceeded plan limits | An import had more products than you have room for. The import still finished — it just brought in as many as fit. Check the Imports tab. |
| You have reached the maximum number of products allowed on your plan. | An import found no room left at all, so it brought in no products. Check the Imports tab. |
Re-enabling a disabled catalog or feed counts against your limits too, so you can't get around a downgrade by switching things back on.
If your subscription lapses
A failed payment doesn't stop anything yet: while Stripe retries the charge everything keeps working, and the dashboard warns you with an Update payment method link. What follows happens once the subscription actually ends.
Nothing is deleted. Your catalogs, feeds, templates, rules and sets all stay exactly where they are, and your catalogs keep importing.
What stops:
- Your feed URLs stop serving. Channels fetching them get an error, the images your templates generate for them stop loading too, and your feeds show a red Paused badge. This is the one that costs money, so don't let a card expire quietly.
- The Preview tab disappears from your feeds.
- You can't create new feeds, or catalogs beyond the first.
- The plan panel goes back to Unlock all features.
Subscribe again and everything comes straight back — the feeds start serving on the next fetch, with no work on your side.
Complete your profile
The first time you sign in, AdMotion asks for your Company name and Company billing country, and keeps asking until you fill them in. They also fill in your first project. What decides the tax on your invoices, though, is the project's Billing details — the country and, for EU companies, the VAT number you confirm right before paying. You can change them later in the Billing card of the project's Settings; a change applies from the next invoice.
Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| I can't find where to change my plan | There's no menu entry. Use Update in the plan panel at the bottom of the side menu. |
| I don't see Update, or Billing in the side menu | You need the Account permission on the project. Ask its owner. |
| Billing isn't in my menu | It only appears once you have a subscription. |
| The plans screen says markets but the side menu says catalogs | They're the same limit, named differently on the two screens. |
| I subscribed but my limits haven't changed | Payment confirmation takes a few seconds. Reload the page. |
| My import brought in fewer products than my file has | You hit your plan's product limit. The import keeps what fits — check the Imports tab and upgrade if you need the rest. |
| I have far more variants than products | Set a Group ID field on the catalog and variants of the same product stop counting separately. |
| My feeds went Paused and channels are erroring | Your subscription isn't active. Check Billing. |
